Wish i could sit by a bonfire and roast apples!

Happy Halloween!!!
.
I wonder why people always associate Halloween with scary stuffs, like ghosts and witches. (But how is trick-or-treating in costumes scary?!) I've never experienced a Halloween celebration before. Maybe because it's not prevalent in Malaysia and Singapore. (But i've seen people dressed up for Halloween in Singapore before.)
.
However, this year's Halloween is definitely "scarier" than previous years. October 31st translates to 8 more days! Ok. I am finally feeling the stress! Will i be ready?

High expectations

I finally found out the name of the breathtaking resort that i always see when i am on the evening/night flight to and fro Malaysia and Singapore.

Pretty right?! It's Golden Palmtree resorts. Off the coast of Melaka. Somewhere along Sepang.
.
I have a habit of looking out the window, especially in flights. I find it calming to enjoy the view of the clouds. I like it all the more when it is evening, when the sun is setting. The sky and the clouds will be an amalgamation of colours, ranging from orange to pink to red and purple. I also like it that the clouds appear cottony and fluffy! I've managed to capture quite a few nice pictures on camera!

Lol. Anyway, i just asked my mom her budget for our trip! =) (I am taking a break from mugging to search for holiday destinations!)
.
Ok. It's 8 plus now and i am feeling depressed=( It's still not good enough!!!! But well, i'm not trying anymore.

Similar experiences, everlasting bond

88 weeks after orientation, I've officially graduated from Hwa Chong. To be honest, it didn't feel all that awesome. Maybe because the BIG A is always at the back of my mind. It's like: We've graduated. Yea, big deal. There's still the A Levels that we have yet to conquer. Still, graduation is significant in a way that the ceremony gave recognition to every single student of class 2010. Every single student got the chance to go on stage and receive the graduation bear.

The symbolism behind that little gesture from the school completed our two-year journey in Hwa Chong. I really am proud of this bear and i treasure this little furry thing a lot!!

Though i'm always complaining about Hwa Chong, i guess in the end, i will miss the people here. Not so much the place but the people. It was tough, but it was fun! And i'm glad that i had you guys along side me on this journey.

I guess many of us will find this song apt for a time like this.

Oh ya, one interesting fact: After two years in Hwa Chong, i still don't know how to sing the chinese school song. And i know the english one because i forced myself to memorize it at the beginning of last year.

And most importantly, thanks mom and dad, for taking the time to come down here for my graduation. Not everyone's parents went, and to have you guys travel all the way down here meant a lot to me. Thanks=) I love you guys!

The singapore education

I hate the Singapore education system! I hate what it does to people!

Over the four years, i've seen drastic changes in scholars studying here. The stress to perform from the ministry, the knowledge that to have your scholarship terminated would mean a huge burden on your parents, the disappointment you get each time you don't live up to your own expectations, all these changes a person. I've seen confident people reduced to one who constantly doubts oneself, and even people who just literally gave up. What i want to say is, don't give up! Who you are as a person, it's so much more than what others might perceive you to be. Yes, grades might be important but they don't define you. And just think of this as a little stumble to prevent a great fall.

Cheer up, it really pains me to hear you cry. You'll pull through this, just like i did! I believe in you.

If only i knew...

Allow me to rant for a while because i feel utterly cheated!!

Walked from the boarding school to cluny court to buy "awfully chocolate" (lol. google it if you don't know what it is!) for my parents. (I've been told that it's heavenly but i have yet to try it.) I walked for the distance of 6 bus stops!! (My ezlink card was running low on credit) But guess what?! "awfully chocolate" wasn't sold in slices but whole cakes! Crap. I feel so cheated, as if i walked so far for nothing! =( Ok, maybe it's not for nothing. It is good exercise after all! =)

Can't wait to see my parents! But too bad i cannot surprise them with cake. I was looking forward to seeing them, especially dad enjoying the molten chocolate cake. I can already imagine his expression and what he would say. Lol. Oh well, next time then! I will find a way.

Got to go! Got to go get ready for graduation and go meet my parents=)

Fever fever please go away.

Out of nostalgia, i went to my old blog and to my horror, found out that they were about to delete it. Tried downloading my whole blog but to no avail. The download was fine, i just couldn't open the file on my computer. I am so not ready to delete two years worth of memories, happy and sad alike!!! So i did the next thing i could do, i transferred my blog elsewhere. Thank goodness that was an option.

And seriously, i hate the weather! Itchy throat, runny nose and a slight temperature. What is this?! SPAM WATER!!!!! SPAM VITAMIN C!!!!!

Graduation tomorrow! If i'm looking forward to it, it's because i get to see my parents! Besides that, it just means that it's one day closer to As. And even closer to SAT subject tests. I should be doing something about that. Actually, come to think of it, i am a bit excited for graduation, because i'll be getting my very own Hwa Chong bear! =)

Mention "Rooney" and i can only sigh.
