Courage

You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

Blue Monkeys

Didn't go for my long jump heats+finals 2day. Went for HACAS's EXCO elections 2day.

We FINALLY did our monkey-bar roll call 2day. At first a few Shawnees wanted to come along and join in the fun but in the end it was a TRUE BLUE COMANCHES event=) At first we wanted to play a joke on the seniors and totally mumbled our way through the roll call. But they did not give us our expected reaction=( Lol. So, we resorted to doing it the proper way. Lost count of the many attempts we had to do before we finally managed a decent one. It was not helpful that Pei Yit was giving remarks like "If u don't complete this by 6.10 u will owe me a chicken something(forgot what that something is).." and "You all want time extension? Have to pay deposit of 2 chicken something first." In the end i think we owe him a few chicken something and a few more cookies. Lol. After that, it was the "ceremonial" passing over of the Blue Comanches Book - a going-to-be-tradition started by the 34th Comanches. They did their group pledge and anthem and we followed on with our own. Kwun Wa started capturing the attention of the workers when the seniors were doing theirs. Some of them actually stared our way. It was quite a comical sight!

Peer evaluation results out tomorrow morning.

Rerunning 2.4km 2morrow morning.

Watching "Poop" at Esplanade with the whole cohort of Lit students 2morrow night.

superlatives.

100m heats today? - BAD.
Chem lecture test? - WORSE.
Peer evaluation? - INDESCRIBABLE.

At least i have something to look forward to in this week - FRIDAY! And nope, it's not because it is Labour Day and it's a holiday.

Retrospect!

Did not actually feel less frustrated after 2.4km run 2day. I'm not gonna find excuses for myself. I'm gonna rerun!

Ok. Last week in retrospect.

Last saturday was Atlantis. My group consisted of Celene, Jerrold and me.

Note the seniors posing at the back?! Lol..

We went through numerous ups and downs. Started of pretty well at West Coast park and were leading when we left for the 2nd station. But, we managed to find the longest route possible to the next station and sadly were the last team by the time we reached Henderson Wave. Yup, that one little decision made us play catch-up with the leading teams for the rest of the day. There was a total of 8 stations, stationed at various places around Singapore. We went form West Coast Park to Henderson Wave to Toa Payoh to Sembawang to Bedok to Changi to Chinatown and finally to Vivocity. Every station was memorable in its own way. Running around looking for instructors and forming sentences at West Coast Park; Using large fans to form alphabets with hands under Henderson Wave; Climbing up 40 flights of stairs at Toa Payoh; Soaking our feet in hot spring's water and looking for a green bean among red beans; Playing the food chain and ALANTISIZE where we mixed all the food together- although it looked gross at first, it was actually quite nice; Looking for a little lost boy at Changi; Drinking level 8 chilli soup at Chinatown- I can't believe people actually pay money to drink that!; and finally searching items and their prices at Vivocity. It was truly an enjoyable day where we had lots of fun. The "after-party" at Vivocity where we got soaked thanks to the guys was also fun!

A bit too dark to see the guys. They are somewhere behind. lol.

Overall, Atlantis 2009 will bring back fond memories=)

Last Sunday was YL Night. Went to Celene's house in the morning with Guenyik to make jelly hearts and also other stuffs. Spent the whole morning plus half the afternoon making sure that we did not miss out anything. For the whole morning all three of us had a rather stressed feeling, often feeling like we forgot something. But well, i guess that was the stress speaking. The jelly took forever to set and by the time we reached CSC it was already pass 4. Oasis spent the next 2 hours decorating and making sure everything is in order. The seniors were late so we had extra time to prepare. I guess we needed the extra time but in the end we ended waiting awhile. Was glad that everything went quite well without any major slip-ups. I guess the "guess the baby photo" activity was the one that got everyone hyped up at we laughed at each other's photos when they were projected on screen. Lol. The rest of the night went smoothly enough and it was a relief. YL NIGHT 2009 will also bring back lots of fond memories=)

Chem lecture test on Monday.

Moanings.

Trying hard to ignore the feeling, trying hard to pretend that it's not there. But no matter how hard one tries to deny, a gap is still a gap. A gap which wasn't there before is now in existance. What happened?! Hopefully this shall just be a passing cloud. Hopefully all of us would be back to how we used to be.

2.4km test 2morrow. I shall run all my frustrations out! Perfect A's here i come! (Fingers crossed.)

Not an open book.

Don't judge me when you don't even know me well. You have no right.

On another note, think i shall blog about Atlantis and YL Night over the weekend. Currently don't have time to do them justice.
